My girlfriend and I visited the restaurant on the 5th October 2007 for her birthday. Both of us agreed that this was a really good restaurant. We arrived at 7:15pm and a large party came in not long after we had received our starters. Even with a full restaurant we never experienced any service problems. I think if you go here in the mind set that you want to relax, take your time and have a nice rest between the superb courses then you shouldn’t really have any problems. The food is totally fresh and you can see the chefs which is always a nice touch. It has a real nice atmosphere, relaxed, inviting and we found the staff friendly. My girlfriend had the cream of vegetable soup for starters and I had the Italian sausage. Both really good. Then we had the chicken with Parma ham and mozzarella and sirloin steak al pepe. Again stunning! Really well cooked steak too. Looked more than the advertised 8oz as well. We finished with the Italian cheesecake and the 7 layer chocolate cake. Fantastic. What was even nicer was the price! Not over expensive like some places are. Without the wine it would have been £38 all together. I didn’t think this was bad for a 3 course meal each. Hoping to go back soon.

What a fantastic way to run a restaurant... Awesome quality of food. We were dining with one person who had special dietary requirements and the owner bent over backwards to fully accomodate her evening and make sure she had as much choice as everyone else... In this case it involved the chef cooking something off the menu which really impressed us all. Highly recommended.

La Lupa is to die for - best tiramisu in the world!!!!!!!!!! Go for the duck if it's on the special board. A great place to take the family, work mates or just on your own!!!!

Awesome Italian food, with superb/enthusiastic service! Plenty to choose from and the desserts are stunning. Best Italian in cardiff I believe, and I've been to many!

The best restaurant in Cardiff as far as we are concerned. My partner tried to book for Valentine's night but it was fully booked and we had to go elsewhere which ended up a big disappointment. We usually stick to fillet steak which is to die for. The sauces are wonderful and their veggies are lush!

I was introduced to La Lupa on Wed 1st Feb 06. There was a party of 22 and things did get a bit chaotic but the service was very good, the staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. We all had a great evening and I will definitely be visiting La Lupa again.

Love this place - fun, not stuffy, good food and wine, decent price and greast 'ambiente'. Cheers!

Very authentic both in atmosphere and food. Service is good and each meal appears to be cooked from scratch especially for you. Friendly staff. A recommended spot for an intimate meal.

La Lupa is my favourite Italian in Cardiff. The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is always great there and the food is fantastic. Their olives are lovely and I cannot find olives like them anywhere else. My favourite dish is the calamari in umido as a starter - the calamari isn't at all chewy and just melts in your mouth. Overall, a very good place to eat!

La Lupa is a feast of italian food and atmosphere. The only Italian I would go to in Cardiff. Friendly staff that make you feel part of the family and a tasty choice whatever your taste buds are fancying. You have to book and try the mussels.

On a recent holiday visit to Cardiff, I had the privilege of dining here, and I have to say that not even in Italy have I found a restaurant of such excellent quality and service. I would recommend it to any Italians like myself and the English. Viva La Lupa and the Boss Roberto.
